Noelle Norrie; Veterinary Management Institute Graduate!
We would like to congratulate our practice manager, Noelle Norrie, on her latest achievement.
She is now a Veterinary Management Institute Graduate!
This may come as news to those who have only known her as our practice manager, so a little narrative is probably in order.
Noelle began her career at ASCS as a receptionist in 1997. At the time, she was our only receptionist, so she learned very quickly how to focus and get things done in a very efficient manner. After a growth spurt, we hired more front staff and she advanced to head receptionist and continued on to head referral coordinator. When our previous hospital administrator retired a few years ago, we interviewed some very worthy applicants with administrative experience for the position, but it gradually became clear to us that the best candidate, hands down, was right in front of us.
Noelle exemplifies the qualities that have driven our practice for the past 30 years; compassionate patient care, an outstanding work ethic, integrity, fairness and excellent communication with colleges and clients alike.
The only thing Noelle was missing was the proper education. So she was enrolled in a 10 month program at the Colorado State University; Center for Professional Development and Business Research. The program, which is also affiliated with AAHA, hosted a field of sessions ranging from financial management, marketing, HR and conflict resolution.
Noelle stated that aside from the wonderful relationships she forged with other practice managers and veterinarians from across the country, her greatest take away was the realization that any positive change requires the participation of all involved.
Good job Noelle. We are proud to support you!
