Veterinary Technician full and part time positions open now for Sound Veterinary Rehab and Animal Surgical Clinic of Seattle

Animal Surgical Clinic of Seattle and SOUND Veterinary Rehabilitation Center are seeking a self-directed and compassionate team player to join us as a full-time/part time possible. Licensed Veterinary Technician. The successful applicant will join the surgical and rehabilitation teams with the primary roles of induction and maintenance of anesthesia, pain management, obtaining and assisting with diagnostic imaging, and pre- and post-surgical nursing and client education. We welcome interested applicants that may require on the job training to fine tune their anesthetic skills too!

Animal Surgical Clinic of Seattle was established in 1986 and is proud to be the only remaining specialty hospital in Seattle owned and operated by the doctors that work in the clinic every day. The culture of the practice is supportive and inclusive, recognizing and valuing the skills and dedication of our veterinary technicians and staff.

Our surgical case load consists of a wide variety of small animal orthopedic and soft tissue procedures, including arthroscopy, cardiac surgery, laser surgery, joint replacement and trauma surgery. We collaborate closely with the doctors and staff of Animal Medical Center of Seattle (ER, critical care, internal medicine, dentistry and oncology), who share our building.

Animal Surgical Clinic is also proud to be a leader in the fields of rehabilitation and pain management. ASCS was the first specialty hospital in the region to have a rehabilitation department. The rehabilitation department outgrew the space provided in the ASCS building, and in January 2018, SOUND Veterinary Rehabilitation Center opened in the adjacent building to provide a dedicated space for underwater treadmill and therapeutic exercise. The rehabilitation veterinarians of SOUND perform procedures such as stem cell therapy, PRP, arthroscopy, and extracorporeal shock wave therapy. These procedures require sedation and/or anesthesia. The successful applicant will be scheduled to work with the surgical service 2-3 days/ week and with the rehabilitation service 2 days/ week.

Candidates must be currently licensed in Washington or licensed in another state and eligible in Washington, and have at least 3 years of experience running anesthesia.
